It's a little like research in the digital age.
When I was a lass, it was a card catalogue and piles of books. These days you start with a search on 'sandboxes' and end up on a porn site! The road to digital literacy is littered with the emoticons of those who have taken a wrong turn and fallen by the way side. Unfortunately, there is no readily available filter to skim off the chaff and leave us with the pertinent information. Old fashion or not...give me the card catalogue!
